• At the latest World conference held in Paris the governing World leaders and scientific leaders issued a doomsday dictum for countries to prepare for the possibility of human extinction. Warnings are issued to continue an ongoing restorative plan to treat a polluted Earth, and to devise methods to preserve a sufficient number of quality human specimens • Robots with installed computer chips in human care are equipped with specially designed features such as soft, ultra-sensitive hands able to sense temperature, texture, and pressure necessary to meet and care for the needs of the many ailing humans. • These dark times motivated Americans differently toward accepting the powers of Project EGG. The mentality of the afflicted and powerless embraced a deterministic evangelic hysteria believing a polluted Earth was just punishment, which no one should escape. In contrast, the more futuristic minded continued to place their trust in the technological plans of Project EGG’s goals – to establish rigid standards to perpetuate a well society on a refurbished Earth, and, to establish a human settlement on planet Mars. • Electra, an EGGY candidate, made one last comment. “As usual, there are no answers given to a questioning generation – A generation without choice.”

About the Book
A fast-paced story describing the reaction of world citizens to the realization that Earth is dying from the constant abuse it has endured from humans. The story’s primary focus centers on the United States and its plan to cope with a sick and dying population and a way to protect future humans from extinction. Project EGG begins with Phase One of its plan, allowing only healthy women to donate their newborn infants to the Project. These infants are labeled EGGYs and are admitted into underground domiciles, which offer a protective environment, receiving expert care by a programmed robotic workforce. The domiciles function to grow foodstuffs, to reproduce more EGGYs, and to educate selected EGGYs to live in a Martian settlement. In its sixteenth year of operation, Phase Two of Project EGG appoints human professionals in good health to serve as domicile directors—an ecologist, a neuropsychologist, and a humanitarian are given the task to select the best EGGYs for the transhumance to the Martian settlement. Since birth, Project EGG has controlled and indoctrinated the now-sixteen-year-old EGGY candidates to believe that there is a future for them in the settlement built by a robotic workforce on Mars. After the domicile directors are well established in their task, Project EGG issues a surprise announcement that the Planet Ship’s manifest to Mars includes the selected EGGYs, as well as some unexpected passengers.
About the Author
The author shares the environmentalist thought and action against the pollution of Earth’s land, sea, and air. She holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing and a master of education from Edinboro University, Pennsylvania. She is recently retired from teaching in the health science field.
