A Christian self-help book to help with all ages and stages of life.
We encounter difficulties in all of them from childhood to old age. The way we work through to resolve them is what this book is all about. We all want to be healthy, happy and productive in our lives. If we can more quickly work through life’s inevitable pitfalls with good outcomes as they occur, then we don’t allow them to control, waste and ruin large chunks of our lives.
Whatever stages you may find yourself in; adolescent, sibling, student, employee, spouse, parent, grandparent retiree, widowhood and old age you will find appropriate solutions. With prayer, positive expectations and self-talk, your life can be transformed.

Chapter 14 ~ Self-Talk
If you act in faith you will have what you say, bearing out the power in our words. You’re “self-talk” determine what you will say and do. That’s why it is crucial to feed your mind and heart and spirit on God’s word. You can’t grow and prosper on a starvation diet. Then begin consciously to speak the word into situations and believe you have the outcome in Jesus name. Do not utter words of doubt and unbelief, for you will simply cancel your faith and Satan will jump in and bring about exactly the opposite of what you prayed for. That’s what a bit of negative confession will do. It opens the door a bit and the devil takes over. That’s why the bible speaks about a double minded man ought not to expect their prayers to be heard or answered. We are to walk by faith not by sight calling those things that are not as though they were (are) then we receive them. That is faith. That principle also works for the reverse. What we believe and say is what we get. For instance in winter if you say “someday I’ll have an accident on black ice” count on the devil trying to make it happen. I have been involved in both situations. The first time I really rear-ended a little Volkswagen whose turning signal light was covered with mud. The second time I was coming from a Woman’s Aglow meeting and had learned some things. I was driving alone just rejoicing in the spirit. Well in Minnesota in early spring the streets can become glazed like a skating rink. At an intersection I hit some and seemed like I was flying towards the passenger’s door of the car coming in front of me. I screamed “Lord help me” and just inches from impact, my guardian angels turned my car a full 45 degree angle right and no impact occurred! It was miraculous! In the Psalms it says “I will give my angels charge over thee,” and he did. Promises and prayer make all the difference, they actually save our lives. I’m still travelling to speak and sing for Christian clubs in several states and what a comfort to know I have His protection with all the craziness on the highways these days!
God is an ever present help in times of trouble. You can literally change your life by changing your self-talk and what you say! If you tend to be a negative person and a chronic complainer it won’t be easy to change but it can be done. Begin by studying all that God promises His children. Confess and ask forgiveness for your past doubt and unbelief and ask for his help and guidance toward faith and praise. You can become the happiest and most fulfilled person. Your friends will want to know what you’ve got and how to get it. What a perfect way to share your secret. When troubles come, you are now prepared to handle them with the Lord!
