About the Book

Mira and Nisha are lifelong best friends. It is almost impossible to find one without the other (despite the fact that they are polar opposites). They have done everything together for the past 13 years of their lives and made a pact, that no matter what happens, they will always be around to support each other. It is February and midterms are coming along for the eighth graders (with distractions of course). Nisha wants to do something crazy right before science midterms and Mira is hesitant to join her this time after realizing the endless list of consequences. Yet, Mira knows that it will be a bigger mistake to let Nisha do whatever she want by herself. So of course, she tags along. However, this time, committing a small mistake turns into a bigger problem. Mira and Nisha’s time and future are both at stake, and Mira is for once, very helpless. Mira tries to make the wrong things right and starts to mix up the truth of reality from the past. It drags to a point when Mira starts questioning herself if she will ever be able to see Nisha again. It could be the point in their lives where they may be separated forever. Will they ever be able to go back in time and change their mistake in the past? Was this entire mishap supposed to happen in the first place or was it simply taken to the extreme based on Mira’s overthinking? Together, Mira and Nisha will need to overcome their obstacles in times of crisis even if it means that they have to put aside the fear of forgetting their past.
