About the Author

The original author God inspired Kim to take real life feelings and experiences on their farm by using their animals to attract children and parents to read and listen about how they handled things like fear, greediness, love, community and so much more. The main characters, Knottys and Tangles were created when Kim's daughter would get her hair brushed in the mornings. To make it fun Kim would tell her daughter that the squirrels Knottys and Tangles must of played in her hair while she was sleeping. They would come up with a fun loving story of what they had done the night before that caused so many knots and tangles. Then as Kim's daughter became older they came up with a way to keep Knottys and Tangles alive through stories about them coming to Muddy Acres Farm to live. Kim is a stay at home mom that homeschools her daughter. As a family they work on their small farm called, Muddy Acres Farm, that includes farm and pop belly pigs, chickens, goats, barn cats, ducks, turkeys, geese and a rabbit. Her love for God and her family show in all that she does in her everyday living. Kim wanted her books to help other relate to things they have gone through in a fun way that would keep the interest of children of all ages and show them how God is always there to help in ALL situations.
