The Land of Nis

While Searcher was at work, he seemed disconnected from everything. He almost seemed in a daze. The boss was concerned about him. He approached Searcher and asked if he was okay? Searcher looked at him with eyes like he did not see him. Searcher was standing at the copy of the Writing. Now the boss was not sure the Writing had been a good thing for him to have hanging there. The boss reached out and placed his hand over the Writing. There was not any difference in Searcher. The state he was in was not looking good for Searcher. He could lose all that he had been able to tell the boss about Master. The boss again tried to talk to him. “Searcher,” he said with a sterner voice. Apprentice knew he had to do something. He reached out and touched Searcher on his back like someone would when the person was choking. Searcher felt the touch and heard Apprentice say, “Master is the first in your life. You have honored him in all you do now. Talk to the boss, Searcher.” Searcher looked at the boss and told him he was sorry. He had been in deep thought. The boss said, “I noticed, but you were scaring me, Searcher. I thought Master had checked you out of this life.” Again, Searcher said, “I am so sorry. This new Writing has meant so much, and I could not let it go.” The boss asked him to tell him what was happening during those moments. Searcher told him it was like all he could see was Master. “I am not afraid to tell you about this; you have allowed me to be open with you.” Apprentice whispered, “It is time to let others into your world.” Searcher heard this and realized he was thinking about Master’s world. He and the boss closed the door and sat to talk. The boss did what he had before; he let Searcher talk without any interruptions. As Searcher talked about Master and how the new Writing was changing him, a soft glow came over his face, like he was looking at a lamp.
