Experience how Paul navigated through difficult family problems to become the first in his family to earn a college degree and engage in graduate studies. Follow him on his unconventional life adventures in his twenties that led him to become a secondary teacher in rural Ohio, a middle school teacher in Africa, an inner city elementary teacher in Philadelphia, a volunteer academic enrichment teacher in rural Alabama, a farm mechanization adviser in Orissa, India, a volunteer with Peace Corps friends working in Iowa and California, an employee of a business in New York City, and finally a counselor in a summer camp in Connecticut while he waited to start a masters degree at Ohio University in Fall 1970. Rejoice how a chance encounter with a British student, Jennifer Stretch, serving as a counselor at the same camp resulted in an epic love story. Cheer on Paul and Jennifer as they overcame numerous obstacles during their 161 days of separation until Jennifer returned to the U.S. on March 16 and they married on April 10, 1971. Join them on a summer 1971 work adventure in the Maritime provinces of Canada and throughout New England until they returned Fall 1971 to Ohio University to start their professional and personal lives together, a future story, New Horizons now being written.
