About the Book

I did not strive for perfection here; my aim was simple, I wanted this little book to be an interesting and enjoyable read… I hope you find it to be so. Any inaccuracies, and/or punctuation errors are mine and mine alone, so please do consider the advanced age of the author! My heartfelt thanks go out to my dear friends , Sherrie Griffin, Beverley Hjermstad, Hetty DeJong, and to he who wishes to remain anonymous. Their suggestions regarding the need for more explanation of language and/or events has greatly improved these pages as they morphed from the short paragraph or two intended for my grandsons, into this life-story, which both Jeffrey and Connor will probably find borrring… yet will enlighten them regarding the events that shaped the life of G. Joyce, their grandma.
